Cher's Sisters Only Club (SOC) is a member of the National Legacy Foundation, Inc., a non-profit organization recognized under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. SOC began in 1999 as a book club by Ms. Cher Best of Clear Channel Radio, Urban Stations WPRW and WKSP. Each month, 33 members gathered to discuss passages from books that the club was reading and to network.

Today, the SOC's roster includes 26 strong, professional women of color. Due to the clubs continued support of community events and work to empower women, SOC has evolved into a civic club with a purpose to: promote health and wellness education; develop the potential of teenage girls and women; and improve the quality of life in the CSRA through speciality events and programs.

SOC's volunteerism, events and activities are designed and implemented to benefit non-profit and health organizations, with a special focus on girls and women. The efforts of the SOC has resulted in the annual south Augusta Women's Health and Beauty Expo, Operation Happy Heart, Shero Awards, and Camp Be Your Best. SOC also participates in various community events such as the Martin Luther King Junior Parade, Children's Week and Taking Back the Streets Summit/School Revival.
